Aavas Youth Women Road Safety Education & Awareness Campaign- 2025

The AAVAS Youth & Women Road Safety Education and Awareness Campaign – 2025 was conducted with great enthusiasm and purpose at KJIT Campus, Savli, on 27th November 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Rajasthan Road Safety Society, SteelBird, and SDTI Burari, the event aimed to create a comprehensive understanding of road safety among youth and women—two significant demographic groups that face increasing risks on Indian roads. The campaign successfully brought together experts, educators, trainers, and students to foster a culture of responsible and alert road usage.

The program began at 11:00 AM with a warm welcome extended to the dignitaries, trainers, and guests. The atmosphere was one of discipline and respect as the session opened with a prayer, setting a thoughtful tone for the discussions and learning that would follow. The presence of multiple stakeholders from the road safety ecosystem highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in preventing accidents and saving lives.

The introductory session was led by Master Trainer Mr. Bharat Gurjar from Rajasthan Sadak Suraksha. He delivered an impactful talk on the relevance of road safety education in today’s fast-paced world. Mr. Gurjar emphasized how India, despite having one of the largest networks of roads, also records an alarming number of road accidents annually. He highlighted that youth and women, though highly active road users, often lack structured awareness programs that teach preventive measures, safe commuting habits, and self-protection strategies. His words effectively laid the foundation for the expert discussions to follow.

The main technical and awareness session was conducted by Dr. Veerendra Singh Rathore, whose detailed presentation focused on the scientific and behavioural aspects of road safety. Dr. Rathore explained the major causes of road accidents, such as over speeding, distracted driving, lack of helmet usage, drunk driving, and violation of traffic signals. Using real-life examples, case studies, and statistical data, he stressed how small mistakes on the road can lead to life-changing consequences. His session also covered life-saving measures such as wearing ISI-certified helmets, maintaining speed limits, following lane discipline, using seat belts even in the back seat, and staying aware of blind spots while driving or riding.

Dr. Rathore also demonstrated techniques like the correct way of wearing a helmet, the difference between safe and unsafe riding behaviour, and the importance of vehicle maintenance. Students responded enthusiastically, interacting with him and asking questions about everyday scenarios they encounter while commuting. His session not only educated but also inspired students to take personal responsibility for their safety on the road.

Following the expert session, the campaign gained further momentum with motivational speeches by esteemed guests. Mr. Mayurbhai Joshi, Trustee of UDGAM Charitable Trust, shared thoughtful insights on how responsible road behaviour is not only a personal choice but also a social responsibility. He discussed how one person’s discipline on the road can prevent harm to many others and how road safety awareness must start at the individual level before it can expand to society.

Next, Road Safety Expert Mr. Amitbhai Khatri addressed the gathering. His session was focused on encouraging students and women to be vigilant, confident, and informed road users. He explained how unsafe practices such as triple-riding, mobile phone usage while driving, and ignoring signage lead to unnecessary risks. Mr. Khatri also stressed that women should feel empowered and aware enough to make safe choices on the road, whether they are traveling independently or with others.

Adding further value, Mr. Sanket Patel shared crucial observations and summarized the core message of the campaign. He motivated the participants to internalize the lessons learned and practice them consciously every day. He reinforced that road safety is not a one-day learning but a continuous practice that must be integrated into lifestyle habits.

The program also saw an inspiring address by Managing Trustee Dharmeshbhai Pandya, who underlined the moral and civic duty of every citizen to follow road safety rules. He highlighted the importance of spreading awareness among peers, families, and communities. His speech reflected a strong message of unity, discipline, and collective commitment toward creating safer roads for all.

One of the most meaningful segments of the event was the Road Safety Oath Ceremony. Students, staff members, and attendees stood together, raising their hands in pledge to follow road rules, wear helmets, avoid reckless driving, discourage irresponsible behaviour among peers, and contribute to reducing accidents. The oath symbolized a powerful step toward responsible action and long-term behavioural change.

Following the oath, dignitaries distributed helmets and certificates to participants, symbolizing both recognition and responsibility. The helmets were distributed to create awareness about their life-saving importance and to encourage students to make helmet-wearing a consistent habit. The certificates acknowledged the participants’ commitment to road safety education and their involvement in the campaign.

In appreciation of the valuable contributions made by key dignitaries, the Rajasthan Sadak Suraksha Society presented mementos to Mr. Dharmeshbhai Pandya, Mr. Amitbhai Khatri, Mr. Sanket Patel, Mr. Mayurbhai Joshi and Mrs. Bhartiben Patel. This gesture recognized their dedication to road safety promotion and their continued efforts toward community welfare.

Throughout the event, the students remained highly engaged, actively listening, participating, asking questions, and sharing their viewpoints. The visual demonstrations and real-life examples shared by experts made the session relatable and practical, leaving a lasting impact on young minds. The active involvement of women participants’ added great value, as the event aimed specifically at empowering women with road safety knowledge, confidence, and awareness.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, a moment that unified everyone and brought a sense of pride and responsibility. A photo session followed, capturing group memories of a meaningful and impactful event.

In summary, the AAVAS Youth & Women Road Safety Education & Awareness Campaign 2025 at KJIT Campus proved to be an enriching and transformative initiative. It successfully delivered essential knowledge, corrected misconceptions, reinforced safe practices, and motivated students to be responsible road users. The collaborative efforts of the Rajasthan Road Safety Society, SteelBird, SDTI Burari, and the KJIT team made the event a remarkable step toward building a safer future. The program not only educated participants but also ignited a mind-set shift—an understanding that road safety is not optional but an everyday necessity. Through collective awareness, responsible behaviour, and continuous learning, the vision of safer roads can truly be achieved.

The campaign ultimately served as a strong reminder that road safety is a shared duty that requires awareness, discipline, and consistent practice. By engaging youth and women through expert sessions and practical demonstrations, the event helped cultivate long-term behavioral change, inspiring participants to become ambassadors of road safety within their communities.
