Expert Lecture on Why Diploma? Career Guidance Seminar
A special seminar on “Why Diploma?” was successfully organized at KJIT for students who recently appeared in the 10th and 12th Board Examination. The seminar was designed to help students and parents understand the importance of diploma engineering education and the excellent career opportunities available after 10th and 12th standard.
The seminar was initiated and efficiently hosted under the leadership of Mr. Saurabh Makwana, Head of Civil Engineering Department. His vision behind organizing this program was to provide the right guidance to students at the right stage of their career decision-making process.
The event started at 10:00 AM in S. B. Pandya Auditorium with an excellent response from students. The session began with a warm welcome and introduction to KJIT, its academic environment, infrastructure, discipline, and student-centric approach.
During the seminar, all Heads of Departments delivered informative presentations about their respective branches. They highlighted modern laboratories, experienced faculty members, industrial exposure, internship opportunities, project-based learning, and placement prospects available in each department.
Mr. Saurabh Makwana, Head of Civil Engineering Department, explained the importance of civil engineering in construction, smart cities, highways, bridges, surveying, architecture support, and infrastructure development.
Mr. Amit Prajapati, Head of Electrical Engineering Department, guided students about the growing importance of electrical systems, renewable energy, power generation, industrial automation, and career opportunities in government as well as private sectors.
Mr. Ajay Bariya, Head of Computer Engineering Department, presented the future scope of computer engineering in software development, programming, networking, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies.
Mr. Bhavin Pandya, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, explained the importance of mechanical engineering in manufacturing, automobile, production, and maintenance sectors. He also informed students about practical workshop training and industry demand.
After the presentations delivered by all Heads of Departments, Mr. Ronak Suthar, GTU Coordinator, guided the students regarding the admission process for diploma courses. He explained the eligibility criteria, required documents, counseling procedure, choice filling process, and important steps for securing admission smoothly.
Following this, Mr. Arpit Gupta, Training and Placement Officer (TPO), provided valuable information regarding placement opportunities available to diploma students. He highlighted the institute’s strong collaboration with reputed companies and industries, which helps students gain practical exposure, internships, and employment opportunities. He also explained that KJIT always makes strong efforts to provide 100% placement to every eligible student.
The respected Principal, Dr. D. U. Shah, addressed the students and inspired them with valuable words on the importance of technical education, discipline, innovation, and choosing the right academic path after 10th and 12th standard.
The seminar concluded with an interactive question-answer session where students cleared their doubts regarding admissions, eligibility, future studies, and job opportunities. Overall, the event proved highly informative, motivational, and beneficial for all attendees.
